Overview

Job Title: Shipping Utility

The Shipping and Receiving Utility is responsible for performing a variety of tasks to support warehouse and inventory activities. This role includes shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading trucks, organizing materials, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This also requires strong attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Unload and load shipments using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment as necessary.
• Accurately label, sort, and store materials in designated areas.
• Maintain inventory records and assist in cycle counts or full inventory audits.
• Ensure the warehouse and receiving areas remain clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies related to shipping, receiving, and material handling.
• Complete lift truck checklists at designated times; checklists must be filled out daily and turned in weekly.
• Follow all safety and 5S rules.
• Operate single pole lifts, double pole lifts, squeeze lifts, and forklifts.
• Complete trailer inspection audits.
• Load and unload trucks with raw materials and finished goods.
• Support in keeping the plant organized by understanding the correct location of each material and continuously staging materials in the correct location.
• Assist in other warehouse-related duties as needed.

• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehousing, or logistics preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment (certification preferred but not required).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and inventory tracking.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience

• Ability to drive a forklift and move materials as needed.
• Prolonged standing and walking.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. when necessary.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
• The ability to tolerate cold and heat, depending on the season.
