Shipper Assistant - 1st Shift

Shipping Assistant

Hourly position reporting to Freddy Ortega.

• Physically prepare items for shipment, wrap and band per company standards or CSIs.
• Determine method of shipment by checking shipping notes and order routing.
• Assist with receiving and shipping defective products.
• Maintain accurate record retention for incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Assist with organizing stock and staging for loading/unloading trucks to maximize efficiency.
• Keep the warehouse organized and neat.
• Assist in weekly cycle counting of inventory.
• Function as backup to receiving clerk and support other shipping areas as needed.

• Self‑motivated individual who communicates and influences with credibility and confidence.
• Can make quick decisions based on facts.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal, time management skills and proven team‑player track record.
• Must have a strong forklift operating background.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Five (5) years of related job experience including inventory reconciliation.
• Working knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office applications (a plus).

• Five (5) or more years of related job experience.
• Demonstrated use of problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills (a plus).
• Team‑oriented with past success working as a cross‑functional team member (a plus).
