Vale Group, a nationwide specialized recruitment firm, has partnered with a company based in Conroe, TX, who is actively searching for an experienced Senior Accountant to work onsite for an opportunity paying up to $85K, based on experience and credentials. This role supports a global industrial/manufacturing organization. The position plays a critical role in financial reporting accuracy, manufacturing cost analysis, and maintaining strong internal controls within a complex production environment.

Requirements of the Senior Accountant:

• Strong background in general ledger accounting within a manufacturing or industrial setting

• Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyze large data sets

• Experience with inventory valuation and standard cost accounting

• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards

• ERP system experience required; exposure to manufacturing systems strongly preferred

Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements

• Oversee account reconciliations and balance sheet substantiation

• Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization and depreciation schedules

• Analyze manufacturing costs, inventory balances, and production variances

• Support month-end and year-end close processes

• Assist with internal and external audit requests

• Evaluate internal controls and recommend process improvements

• Support / ad hoc projects as needed
