Accounting Manager​/Supervisor

Description

Well established, rapidly growing company in North Houston is looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team! The Accounting Manager is responsible for full-cycle accounting and reporting and will oversee the daily accounting operations and team.

Responsibilities include the following:

+ Manage & own month-end closing process for various legal entities.

+ Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports for stakeholders.

+ Lead, train, and supervise accounting staff, delegating tasks and ensuring timely, accurate work.

+ Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, supporting management decisions.

+ Develop financial statements, P& L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.

+ Develop and maintain robust closing process checklists and timelines, data and systems integrations.

+ Leverage system capabilities & understand systems data flows.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA is preferred. Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience as an Accounting Manager with experience in the Energy industry. Proficiency with ERP systems is a must, MS Dynamics is preferred.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant, with direct supervisory responsibilities.

- Familiarity with the natural gas transportation, energy, or oil and gas sectors is strongly preferred.

- Advanced knowledge of internal controls, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirements.

- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI is highly desirable.
