Role DescriptionBrayton Construction is seeking a full-time Accounting Assistant to join our team on-site in Conroe, TX. This role involves assisting with job cost accounting, including tracking labor, materials, subcontractor invoices, and change orders. Support the preparation and review of AIA billing, progress billings, and lien waivers. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable with accuracy and timeliness. Reconcile vendor statements. Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate cost tracking and budget updates.
Support the accounting team with ad hoc tasks and special projects.
- Accounting Software:Proficiency in software such as
Foundation. - MS Excel:Strong skills in Microsoft Excel are crucial, including managing spreadsheets, data entry, and sometimes formulas.
- Data Entry:High-volume 10-key data entry skills with high accuracy are often required
- Experience with Financial Statements and Bookkeeping
- Understanding of Accounting and Finance principles
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- A high school diploma or GED is the minimum, with 1-2 years’ experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Conroe, TX and collaborate within a team
- Prior experience in a construction environment is a plus
