Sr. Accountant

Description

Our client, a small but rapidly growing service company located off Highway 45 on the Conroe / Woodlands border, is seeking a Lead Accounting Professional for an immediate direct-hire opportunity. This position is open due to a long-tenured employee transitioning to a remote opportunity after 15 successful years with the company. The organization offers a strong team-oriented culture, excellent work/life balance, robust benefits, and long-term growth potential for someone looking to advance their accounting career.

This is a fully in-office position, and candidates must be comfortable working onsite daily.

Responsibilities will include:

+ Full-cycle general accounting through financial statement preparation

+ Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

+ Payroll processing and related reconciliations

+ Inventory tracking and accounting support

+ General ledger maintenance

+ Journal entries and account reconciliations

+ Assisting with month-end and year-end close

+ Working within Quick Books and Excel to maintain accurate financial records

+ Supporting leadership with reporting and operational accounting needs

+ Partner with outside CPA on Tax and complex accounting matters

+ Assisting with process improvements as the company continues to grow

Requirements

Requirements:

+ Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required

+ 3+ years of general accounting experience

+

Experience with Quick Books or comparable accounting software

+ Strong understanding of general accounting principles

+ Ability to work independently in a hands-on environment

+ Strong organizational and communication skills
