Certified OTHER Multi‑Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) Facilitator

Work as part of the Student Services Application Support Team to develop and maintain the student management applications and systems through its lifecycle.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide data from the Student Information System as requested.
  • Assist campuses with all aspects of scheduling, including building the master schedule, running the scheduler and creating student schedules.
  • Under the direction of the Director of Enterprise Applications, meet the requirements of the district’s technology plan pertaining to student services.
  • Familiarity with Cognos Reports.
  • Document processes to ensure continuity.
  • Safeguard CISD student data from unauthorized exposure.
  • Work with junior high and high school campuses on all grading procedures including progress reports, report cards, and transcripts.
  • Calculate GPA and rank for high school campuses and address any questions on calculations.
  • Assist Associate Principals and other junior high and high school staff in setting up master schedules and running the scheduling algorithm.
  • Train junior high and high school associate principals, other administrators, counselors, and data technicians regarding any grading or scheduling responsibilities.
  • Create custom SQL queries and reports as requested by junior high and high school campuses.
  • Follow procedures as directed by state reporting regarding grading and scheduling.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience working with Student Information Systems, preferably Power School eSchool Plus
  • Experience analyzing and researching issues within the Student Information System
  • Experience in troubleshooting problems
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Special Knowledge/

    Skills:

    • A demonstrated ability to work with people in a team environment
    • A demonstrated service orientation
    • Ability to analyze needs, develop procedures, and implement procedures to meet specific needs
    • Ability to develop SQL queries to extract data from Student Information System database

SALARY:

PAY GRADE: TEC-9 - Minimum pro‑rated salary - $80,528
