Job Summary
The Developer Coordinator is responsible for identifying and engaging with prospective and current subdivision and townhome developers to secure natural gas services for new developments. Acting as a dedicated project coordinator and single point of contact, this role coordinates all required actions to provide natural gas services efficiently and effectively. The Developer Coordinator collaborates with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery, supporting business growth and customer satisfaction.
EssentialFunctions
- Develop and promote natural gas service offerings to developers, overseeing negotiations and relationship management to foster loyalty and long‑term partnerships.
- Serve as the primary client liaison, participating in business meetings with developers and addressing service, performance, and other concerns related to CenterPoint Gas Operations.
- Oversee developer relationships to ensure a coordinated and efficient service delivery process that enhances customer satisfaction and aligns with business growth objectives.
- Support construction phases by coordinating communication among customers, construction teams, utility personnel, and relevant government entities.
- Track construction progress, acting as the main point of contact between customers and Capital Delivery/Contract Services to ensure timely project completion.
- Prepare and manage customer proposals, including Development Access Agreements, financial models, and other essential documentation.
- Maintain consistent communication with builders and developers, facilitating ongoing interactions to support project needs.
- Coordinate with internal teams and work groups to streamline the natural gas service process.
- Assist in acquiring easements and securing land for city gate stations, when required.
- Monitor regional growth patterns within the Houston metro area to support long‑term strategic planning.
- Utilize tools such as Excel and web‑based platforms for efficient project tracking and status reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Science, Marketing, or a related field is required. Relevant work experience in gas and/or electric distribution may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience in construction management, gas and/or electric distribution or related business experience, including a minimum of one (1) year direct (face‑to‑face) customer contact/interaction.
