Huxted Trenchless, LLC, a JAG Company located in Conroe TX, is growing and looking for an Estimator I to support our Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) and trenchless construction projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career Estimator with 1–4 years of heavy civil experience who wants to build specialized expertise in trenchless construction.
What You’ll Do:- Assist with quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for HDD projects
- Review plans, specifications, bore profiles, geotechnical reports, and bid documents
- Support pricing development based on HDD means & methods, crew sizes, equipment, and production rates
- Solicit, review, and analyze vendor and subcontractor quotes
Identify scope gaps, discrepancies, and risks; draft clarifying questions - Follow JAG/Huxted estimating processes and participate in EOS-based estimating meetings
- 1–4 years of estimating experience with a heavy civil or trenchless contractor
- Basic understanding of HDD or underground utility construction
- Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical documents
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Heavy Bid (or similar), and Microsoft Excel
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet bid deadlines
- Coachable, motivated, and eager to grow within an estimating team

Pay: $70,000 – $90,000 per year (based on experience)
