Job Description
Immediate opening for construction supervisor to manage construction crews installing geosynthetic liner systems throughout the United States.
Responsibilities- Work hours are long, irregular, and may be physically strenuous, including but not limited to working in extreme, outdoor weather (hot and cold), long distance walks up and down steep slopes, overseeing and maintaining equipment and supplies.
- Supervisor must be willing to work alongside his crew to maintain a safe and positive workplace, and oversee all daily field operation activities, ensuring company discipline and safety is followed both on and off the jobsite.
- Travel requires extended periods of time with long hotel stays, away from home, and travel throughout the United States.
- Complete job‑related paperwork in a neat and timely manner, including but not limited to timesheets, daily field reports, as‑built drawings, and expense reports.
- Read and interpret plans and specifications, maintain production to meet schedules, and keep a safe jobsite.
- Report directly to company management, communicate with office personnel, and coordinate with job owners and engineers on a daily basis.
- Hear and respond quickly to sounds or alerts, see and respond to dangerous situations – and take necessary action to ensure a safe workplace as per TEP Manuals.
- Wear personal protective gear correctly most of the workday.
- Stand or stoop for extended periods of time.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as a supervisor in a construction environment.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership, supervisory skills, self‑starter, able to work under pressure and multi‑task.
- Knowledgeable with a computer and Microsoft Office software.
- Travel for extended periods, as necessary (100 % of the time, 8‑10 months out of the year), with various breaks throughout the winter months.
- Must be available to work overtime, nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
- Must have computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must be physically fit, able to lift and carry 25‑50 pounds regularly, and perform labor required of the job.
- Valid driver’s license (required).
- Work permit (if non‑US).
- Certification as an equipment operator for heavy equipment, including high reach forklift and skid steer loader (optional/desired).
- Pre‑employment drug screen and background check.
- Successful evaluation of a motor‑vehicle record (MVR). Must maintain a safe driving record while driving on a regular basis for company business.
