Position Summary
We are seeking a professional, detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to serve as a primary point of contact for our customers. This role plays a critical part in delivering a high-quality customer experience by managing communications, supporting sales activities, processing purchase orders, and keeping customers informed throughout the order lifecycle.
The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role requires strong follow-through, self-motivation, and a sense of urgency. While primary responsibilities focus on customer support and sales coordination,
periodic front desk coverage and administrative support may also be required to ensure smooth daily operations.
Training will be provided on Ameritex systems, processes, and manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Provide a high-quality customer service experience to all customers
- Answer inbound phone calls and respond to customer emails in a timely, professional manner
- Manage and monitor the Sales Inbox
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to orders, quotes, and general support
- Accurately process customer purchase orders (POs)
- Support the sales team with quote setup and follow-up
- Coordinate customer changes, updates, and rework requests with internal departments
- Proactively communicate order status updates to customers
- Maintain internal records, spreadsheets, and customer documentation
- Assist with scheduling customer meetings and calls as needed
- Provide occasional front desk coverage, including greeting visitors and routing calls
- Ensure clear, accurate communication between customers and internal teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and shifting priorities
- A self-motivated, proactive individual who takes ownership of their workload
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where responsiveness matters
- Customer-focused mindset with a problem-solving approach
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- CRM experience preferred (Hub Spot a plus)
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- 2+ years of customer service, sales support, or related experience
- Manufacturing or industrial experience preferred
- Experience handling purchase orders or customer communications is a plus
- CRM or ERP system experience highly desirable
- No degree required — relevant experience and demonstrated performance are strongly valued
