PositionSummary
Be the face of by conducting, co‑hosting, and otherwise participating in live auctions, traditionally held on courthouse steps. You will interact with bidders while performing tasks necessary to complete an auction and multitask to ensure all required processes have been met. You will also help the local community thrive by educating customers on how to participate and helping turn houses into homes.
Hourly pay: $20/hour, increasing incrementally up to $30/hour based on skills and responsibilities.
The TerritoryCentered around Conroe, TX but may require up to 2 hours of travel to auctions in surrounding areas. Personal mileage reimbursed over 40 miles/day. Occasional longer travel may require a rental car.
The ScheduleAuctions are assigned monthly by your Area/State manager. Require flexible schedule. Each auction day typically 2–8 hours. Expect to work 6–12 hours monthly, though hours fluctuate.
Responsibilities & DutiesMaintain professionalism with customers and on‑site staff such as deputies, government employees, attorneys, etc.
Maintain auction equipment and materials.
- Be a subject matter expert on customer resources.
- Professional communication and networking.
- Collect customer information using proprietary software.
- Complete customer receipts.
- Complete event reports.
- Participate in scheduled training and team calls.
- Perform all tasks with high quality, efficiency, and attention to detail.
- Enjoys customer service and helping people.
- Tech‑savvy with strong technical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Great adaptability and quick learning.
- High performance while managing multiple assignments.
- Thrives in dynamic environments and quick decision‑making.
- Works well independently and as a team.
- Comfortable leading and interacting with a crowd.
- Patient, clear, and concise in customer communication.
- Open to feedback and coaching.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when needed.
- Ability to stand for long hours and work outside in all weather.
- Can travel up to 2 hours to event locations in a personal vehicle.
- Prior auction experience appreciated but not required.
