Job Description

Support campus staff through professional development, modeling, and collaboration on best practices in academic interventions and behavior for students in all settings. Guide administration and instructional staff in the implementation of MTSS. Support schools in building internal capacity to implement and sustain high quality MTSS practices that increase academic achievement, reduce disciplinary incidents, and reduce dropout rates for all students.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Develop and provide district-wide and campus professional learning related to Tier I Best practices and MTSS (including PBIS and RtI) at all grade levels and all settings.
  • Provide leadership and demonstrates an in-depth understanding of the Conroe ISD Instructional Model and best practices in all content areas, including behavior, for at‑risk students in all settings.
  • Provide support to teachers, administrators, and campus leadership teams to build capacity in PBIS and RtI.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and disaggregate district and campus data related to Tier I, interventions at Tier II/III, and student progress monitoring.
  • Support the implementation of progress monitoring software and technology.
  • Demonstrate commitment to assisting campuses in improving classroom management through training and ongoing support.
  • Work collaboratively with staff to develop a tiered system of support to appropriately meet the academic and behavior needs of students.
  • Model consistent instructional leadership to the highest level.
  • Collaborate with other departments and district staff to build capacity and build continuity across content areas and grade levels.
  • Demonstrate steps taken for professional growth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience
  • Three years of successful classroom teaching experience
  • Experience in facilitating and/or working with teams
  • Successful experience in working with students with behavioral challenges
  • Experience with leading campus MTSS initiatives at the campus level
Qualifications Education/Certification
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and grade levels assigned
  • CPI certification (must obtain within 30 days of hiring and maintain yearly certification)
Special Knowledge/Skills
  • Deep understanding of the core principles of Multi‑Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), including Response to Intervention (RtI)
  • Knowledge of Tier I Best Practices around Differentiated Instruction, and Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS)
  • Understanding of data collection as it pertains to academics, behavior, interventions, and decision‑making
  • Strong knowledge of instructional strategies for at‑risk students
  • Ability to manage crisis situations
  • Strong planning and organization skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
  • Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
  • Experience in developing and presenting professional learning

Salary

PAY GRADE: AE – 2 - Minimum pro‑rated salary - $70,516
