POSITION TITLE:

In School Suspension Aide Anticipated

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Assist the campus administration in the management of students who have been removed from the regular classroom for disciplinary reasons.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Assist administration in the supervision of students who have been removed from the classroom for violations of the Student Code of Conduct.

* Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom

* Help keep administrative records and prepare required reports.

* Collect student instructional materials and route to the appropriate staff member.

* Communicate with parents when appropriate.

* Regular attendance.

* Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE:

* Some experience working with children

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Certification:

* High school diploma or GED

* Valid Texas educational aide certificate (must obtain within 30 days of employment)

Special Knowledge/

Skills:

* Ability to work well with children

* Ability to communicate effectively
