ESL Aide

To facilitate and assist in providing a quality program of instruction designed to meet the affective, linguistic and cognitive needs of limited English proficient students.

• Assist ESL teacher in providing quality instruction for limited English proficient students.
• Support and carry out activities related to the ESL program.
• Perform duties involving the supervision of students.
• Communicate with students, teachers, staff, and parents.
• Present a positive role model for students.
• Demonstrate interest and initiative in professional improvement.
• Maintain a professional relationship with all colleagues, students, parents, and community leaders.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Previous work with children in job-related capacity or volunteer work
• Experience related to working with students or parents as approved by the employing superintendent
• Experience may be work in church-related schools, day camps, youth groups, private schools, licensed day-care centers, or similar agencies or institutions

Education/Certification:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate (must obtain within
  30 days of employment)

Salary: Paygrade: IS-1:
Minimum hourly rate - $14.00
