Job DescriptionPURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The PT Specialist III is responsible for providing support services to Outreach, College Relations, Student Life, Performing Arts department and System Office. Maverick leaders provide information to faculty, staff, students and community members. They provide support where required throughout the Lone Star College system.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Montgomery campus, and LSC
- Conroe Center
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent public speaking skills
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse population
- Ability to enforce LSC, New Student Orientation and Office of Student Life policies and procedures
- Ability to working autonomously
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of My Lone Star
PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably todo the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending;carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; ordriving an automobile. No special physical demands are required toperform the work.
WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
- Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in aMicrosoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
- Interface with internal and external contacts as needed tocarry out the functions of the position
- Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be enrolled at LSC-Montgomery a minimum of six hours college credit for the Fall and Spring semesters
- Must maintain a GPA of 2.75 or higher
- Must maintain good academic and disciplinary standing
Salary
Hourly Pay Rate is $ 15.60.
