Job Title: HSE Specialist

Location: 14737 Firetower Road Conroe, Texas 77306

Employment Type: Full-Time

Shift: 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM; requires some flexibility and the ability to work weekends

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HSE Specialist to support our health, safety, and environmental initiatives while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and corporate safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct workplace safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
  • Assist with implementing and maintaining OSHA-compliant safety programs and procedures.
  • Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Assist with employee safety orientation, training, and safety awareness programs.
  • Maintain organized and confidential HSE documentation and records.
  • Monitor workplace conditions to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response procedures.
  • Assist with safety audits and provide requested documentation during inspections.
  • Collaborate with operations and management teams regarding workplace safety concerns and improvements.
  • Assist with tracking safety metrics, near misses, and corrective action follow-up.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of HSE or workplace safety experience.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
  • Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, incident investigations, and employee training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and safety management systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and workplace safety audit requirements.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements
  • This position may require a combination of office and manufacturing floor responsibilities, including prolonged sitting, standing, and walking throughout the facility.
  • Must be able to occasionally bend, reach, climb stairs, and lift items up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Manual dexterity is required to operate standard office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone.
  • Visual acuity necessary to inspect work areas, equipment, and safety conditions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while working in manufacturing or warehouse areas.
