Job Title: HSE Specialist

Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift: 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM; requires some flexibility and the ability to work weekends

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced HSE Specialist to support our health, safety, and environmental initiatives while ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations and corporate safety standards.
Responsibilities- Conduct workplace safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
- Assist with implementing and maintaining OSHA-compliant safety programs and procedures.
- Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and ISO 9001 requirements.
- Assist with employee safety orientation, training, and safety awareness programs.
- Maintain organized and confidential HSE documentation and records.
- Monitor workplace conditions to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Support emergency preparedness activities, drills, and response procedures.
- Assist with safety audits and provide requested documentation during inspections.
- Collaborate with operations and management teams regarding workplace safety concerns and improvements.
- Assist with tracking safety metrics, near misses, and corrective action follow-up.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or related field preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Minimum 5 years of HSE or workplace safety experience.
- Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety practices.
- Experience conducting safety inspections, audits, incident investigations, and employee training.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and safety management systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and workplace safety audit requirements.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and efficiency.
- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and regulatory compliance.
- This position may require a combination of office and manufacturing floor responsibilities, including prolonged sitting, standing, and walking throughout the facility.
- Must be able to occasionally bend, reach, climb stairs, and lift items up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Manual dexterity is required to operate standard office equipment such as a computer, keyboard, mouse, and telephone.
- Visual acuity necessary to inspect work areas, equipment, and safety conditions.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while working in manufacturing or warehouse areas.
