About the RoleR. J. Fuselier & Associates, L.L.C. (RJF&A) is seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS) licensed in the State of Texas—or a candidate within one year of obtaining licensure—to support our expanding operations.
This position offers the opportunity to work remotely from your home location, while playing a key role in growing our presence throughout Texas.
We are looking for a self‑motivated, entrepreneurial‑minded professional who is eager to help expand operations, develop client relationships, and contribute to building a thriving Texas division. With the support of an established firm, proven workflows, advanced technology, and a strong operational backbone, this role provides a unique opportunity to grow both professionally and financially.
The RPLS will be responsible for overseeing survey projects, reviewing and certifying deliverables, supporting field and office staff, and ensuring compliance with Texas Board of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors (TBPELS) standards.
Requirements- Active Texas RPLS license or ability to obtain licensure within one year
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive land surveying experience
- Strong understanding of boundary analysis, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking
- Proficiency in reviewing plats, legal descriptions, deeds, and title commitments
- Experience with survey data processing software (AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with field crews, clients, and internal team members
- Familiarity with Texas surveying standards and TBPELS requirements
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Experience managing survey teams or mentoring junior staff
- Knowledge of LiDAR, UAS/drone data collection, or advanced geospatial workflows
- Salary starting at $85,000+, commensurate with experience
