Job SummaryPanelmatic is seeking a detail‑oriented Electrical Engineer to design and implement utility, industrial, commercial, and domestic power systems.
Responsibilities- Lead engineering and project management efforts on assigned projects, coordinating engineering disciplines to achieve a cost‑effective solution.
- Ensure engineering work is completed on schedule, meets quality standards, and stays within budget while producing required deliverables and maintaining timely change management.
- Review schedule status and progress performance with clients; keep General Managers informed of issues.
- Maintain quality of engineering execution and deliverables.
- Participate in people development through mentoring, training material development, and conducting training seminars.
- Develop and build client relationships.
- Create electrical documents, including scope definitions, specifications, data sheets, equipment selection, drawing review, schematic development, wiring diagrams, physical layout drawings, and project close‑out procedures for low‑to‑medium voltage industrial power distribution systems.
- Prepare purchase requisitions for electrical equipment.
- Lead inspection and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for relay panels, Power Distribution Centers, and remote instrumentation enclosure buildings.
- Exhibit thorough understanding of relevant codes, regulations, and industry practices.
- Review estimates to confirm technical offerings of the product.
- BS or higher in Electrical Engineering.
- Ten or more years of experience in electrical design and engineering.
- Five or more years of experience managing project engineers and junior engineers, plus product knowledge of key electrical components of a Protection & Control Panel (SEL, Electroswitch, test switches, etc.).
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Growth mindset and ability to accept challenges.
- US work authorization without sponsorship.
- Physical, drug, driving, and background check clearance.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more and sit, stand, and walk for four or more hours at a time.
- Five or more years in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and Substation Design Suite (SDS).
