Night Shift Utility Operator at the 30
MGD surface water treatment plant, GRP (Groundwater Reduction Plan) Division in Conroe, Texas. Full‑time position, shift hours 6:00PM – 6:00AM. The role involves operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting water treatment, supply, transmission, and distribution systems to ensure safe, cost‑effective, and efficient operation in compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Operate and maintain water treatment equipment and systems.
- Monitor and adjust treatment processes to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment.
- Collect and analyze water samples, prepare reports, and maintain records.
- Communicate with other operators and supervisors to ensure efficient operation of the treatment plant.
- Work as primary essential personnel during or in preparation for, and recovery from, emergency events as directed by supervisors.
This position is classified as a safety‑sensitive position and the holder is required to submit to random, unannounced drug and alcohol testing.
Requirements- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of progressively responsible experience in the operations and maintenance of surface water treatment systems.
- Valid Texas driver’s license with an insurable driving record.
- Minimum of a TCEQ Class C Surface Water Operator and/or Class C Groundwater license is required.
