Hospitality or Gaming Experience REQUIRED!!!!
Location:
Houston, TX (60 Miles north of downtown)
Compensation: $100K - $105K + Bonus + Relocation Assistance
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly analytical and experienced DOF-Controller-ADOF to join our executive support team with Hospitality or Gaming experience. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this role is pivotal in driving strategic decision-making through advanced financial and operational analyses. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the hospitality/gaming landscape, utilizing data to optimize operations, marketing strategies, and labor efficiency.
Core Responsibilities:
- Strategic Analysis: Identify key areas of opportunity for operational efficiencies, tangible cost savings, and profit margin improvements across the property.
- Collaborative Reporting: Partner with department heads to gather critical data, analyze trends, and prepare comprehensive reports that drive business performance.
- Financial Forecasting: Prepare and present weekly, monthly, and yearly financial reports, including cash flow analysis and future projections, directly to executive leadership.
- Labor Optimization: Review labor statistics in relation to fluctuating business levels and industry trends to ensure optimal staffing efficiency.
- Budgeting: Lead the preparation of annual Operating and Capex budgets, synthesizing input from Department Managers and Human Resources to create accurate financial roadmaps.
Candidate Requirements
Education & Experience
- Minimum of five (5) years of proven experience in a financial analyst role, specifically within the Hospitality or Gaming industry.
- Five (5) years of experience in an accounting role.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field of study.
- Note:
A combination of education and significant proven experience may be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
Skills & Competencies
- Analytical Expertise: Ability to prepare and present detailed financial, labor, and operational analysis reports that translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and deep familiarity with Database and BI platforms, specifically Tableau.
- Communication: Strong organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively with department leaders and provide constructive guidance.
- Agility: Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Tableau or Power BI visualization tools.
- Direct experience using Hospitality/Gaming Management Systems (CMS) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
