Part‑time Teller – 30 hours per week.
OverviewThe Teller position provides efficient, superior service to credit‑union members at branch locations. The teller serves as the face of the credit union, offers assistance, and refers members to other departments or services as needed.
Responsibilities- Process member transactions accurately, efficiently, and promptly (e.g., deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing).
- Balance cash drawers daily and resolve discrepancies.
- Provide information and referrals for new accounts, lending, insurance, and investments.
- Meet or exceed branch service standards.
- Comply with company policies, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and OFAC regulations.
- 1–3 years of related or cash‑handling experience.
- Customer‑service experience preferred.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent.
Courtesy, tact, and effective communication are essential. Tasks involve routine contact with customers and staff.
Other Skills- Professional, courteous communication – written and oral.
- Proficient data entry and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Strong customer‑service abilities.
Primarily sedentary work; limited lifting up to 30 lbs. Must stand for long periods, work on a computer 6–8 hours/day, and be available for extended hours when requested.
