To plan, evaluate, organize and implement Occupational Therapy (OT) treatment programs in a developmentally and age appropriate manner for patients ages 0 - adulthood. Completes patient evaluations and reassessments in accordance with hospital and department guidelines.
Develops an individualized plan of care based upon evaluation/reassessment findings according to hospital and departmental guidelines.
In collaboration with patient and family, develop measurable long term and short term goals.
Performs patient care and related activities within the scope of their training and responsibilities. Demonstrates advanced clinical competencies in an area of specialty
Manages schedule effectively to maintain productivity expectations per departmental guidelines.
Participates in ongoing communication and collaboration with other members of the patient's interdisciplinary care team. Coordinates treatment plan with all parties involved in the patient's care.
Monitors patient response to treatment intervention.
Recommends appropriate adaptive equipment.
Recommends termination of treatment when appropriate.
Communicates effectively with Patient, Family, Therapy Manager, department staff, physicians and other health care professionals to promote quality patient care.
All tasks are characterized by the ability to automatically analyze the clinical situation and evaluate priorities, but relies on conscious application of clinical "rules and principles". All tasks are focused and methodical.

This is a request for an occupational therapist in our outpatient clinic. It will be onsite, but we do let our therapists have remote access to catch up on notes if able. This is to help cover a few FMLs that I’m having at the same time. Since I have multiple FMLs around the same time I’m a bit open to what work days/hours it is but most likely it will be either 10 or 12 hour shifts sometime Mon – Fri.

Position is in The Woodlands in our outpatient building. They are required to have an active OT license in Texas. Pediatric experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.

• Knowledge and understanding of rehabilitative care of patients with acute and chronic conditions, and knowledge of development from the ages of neonate to adulthood.

• Successful demonstration of the professional competencies and at least two (2) years pediatric or sports medicine experience.

• Clinical advancement candidate must have been rated as “exceptional” or “consistently exceptional’ on the previous
performance appraisal.

• Must also be articulate, courteous and supportive in dealing with hospital, administrative and departmental personnel, patients and parents with ability to honor confidentiality; to independently treat patients by developing and following the established therapy plan of care; demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills; utilize basic office equipment such as fax, copier and PC. Required
- Bachelor's Degree Occupational Therapy Required- 2 years Pediatric, women's health, orthopedics, or sports
medicine clinical experience. Or
1 year Pediatric, women's health, orthopedics, or sports medicine residency.
