REQUIRED:

High school diploma or equivalent with a certificate from a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) approved Radiologic Technology Program.

PREFERRED:
Bachelor in Science from a JRCERT program in Diagnostic Imaging or Radiologic Technology.

Required Licensure & Certification
  • Medical Radiologic Technologist license (MRT) from the Texas Department of State Health Services
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography credentials.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) / CPR through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Preferred Certification
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) as applicable to focus of practice.
Responsibilities
  • Performs MRI/CT imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site Radiologist.
  • Completes and signs Patient Screening form and explains the procedure to the patient.
  • Maintains patient care, comfort and safety during transport to and from the coach and during the exam.
  • Maintains technical competency through continued education and participation in company-sponsored training programs.
  • Under guidance and approval of site Radiologist, administers contrast agents according to site‑specific protocols.
  • Cooperates with facility healthcare personnel and complies with facility policies and procedures.
  • Maintains current Permits to Practice in all states in which services are performed.
  • Provide images to the facility in the desired site format.
  • Performs equipment quality checks and troubleshoots problems. Calls for service and notifies all pertinent team members.
  • May assist with the set up and tear down of equipment in accordance with SMS and/or manufacturers’ guidelines.
  • Maintains a clean environment inside and outside of the mobile coach/facility.
  • Completes necessary administrative tasks. ie: time reports, billing, QA, etc.
  • Follows quality assurance guidelines and maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Cooperates with facility healthcare professionals and complies with facility policies/procedures.
  • Complies with all safety policies and regulations.
  • Maintains current Permits to Practice in all states in which services are performed.
  • Performs additional duties as required.
