The ACT Adult Mental Health Specialist provides ongoing monitoring, recovery planning, support and assistance to individuals served with chronic and persistent mental illness.

Responsibilities
  • Provide psychosocial rehab and case management as identified in the Person-Centered Recovery Plan for independent living and community inclusion.
  • Work under close supervision of the ACT Coordinator and adhere to ACT Fidelity requirements.
  • Adhere to a demanding daily schedule.
  • Provide all services using a trauma‑informed approach: create a safe environment based on trust, transparency, collaboration, mutuality, and peer support while encouraging empowerment, and acceptance of voice and choice of individuals served, and demonstrating respect for cultural, historical, and gender issues.
  • Travel to clients’ homes and various Tri‑County facilities as required.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science field or related discipline.
  • Must qualify as a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) under Texas Administrative Code (TAC) credentialing requirement (Rule §353.1415). If you are not sure, send your unofficial or official transcripts to jobs and we’ll check for you.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable through Tri‑County.
  • 2 years of experience in a human services field preferred.
