Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will provide essential support to pharmacists, ensuring the accurate and efficient preparation and dispensing of medications to patients.

Every day you will process prescriptions, compound medications, manage inventory, and assist patients with their inquiries, all while adhering to strict safety and regulatory guidelines.

To be successful, you will demonstrate outstanding attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a professional, patient‑focused demeanor, contributing to safe medication practices and excellent patient care.

• Prepare, distribute and deliver medications in accordance with CSH policies, The Joint Commission requirements, and Department of Health regulations.
• Perform clerical and administrative tasks in support of daily operations.
• Maintain proper medication and supply stock levels.
• Operate and maintain automated medication delivery systems and devices.
• Participate in department quality assurance programs and maintain appropriate documentation.
• Be trained and certified in IV admixture preparation including all regulatory and compliance requirements; may include preparation and handling of hazardous/chemotherapy medication if applicable.

• High School Graduate, upon hire, or High School GED, upon hire.
• 6 months compounding of IV medication.
• Pharmacy Technician: TX license, upon hire.
• Certified Pharmacy Tech ECPT, upon hire, or Certified Pharmacy Tech PTCB, upon hire, or Certified Pharmacy Tech, upon hire.

$23.00 - $32.49 per hour
