Speech and Language Pathology Assistant

Full-Time | Conroe, TX | School-Based | SLPA Texas License Required

Provide speech-language therapy support services to students in a school-based setting under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This role focuses on implementing treatment plans, supporting communication development, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to help students succeed academically and socially.

Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP

Develop therapy materials for verbal and non-verbal learners (AAC devices, visual icons, communication boards)

Deliver speech-language therapy tailored to students' functional levels

Support students and families by fostering resilience, positivity, and engagement

Maintain accurate data collection, therapy notes, and documentation of student progress

Collaborate with team members to ensure effective service delivery

Follow guidelines for scheduling time off to minimize disruption to school operations

Current Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license (or eligibility) in the state of Texas

DOJ/FBI background check clearance (or equivalent)

TB clearance

Eligibility to work in the United States

Strong communication and organizational skills

Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting

Familiarity with AAC devices and communication supports

Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Occasional exposure to environmental elements such as dust, pollen, and fumes

Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and handling materials

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation

Ability to work in moderate to high noise environments and perform essential job functions with or without assistive devices
