POSITION TITLE:
Coordinator of Human Resources
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Assists in the effective operation and management of District human resources functions so that quality staffing and practices are maintained. Assists in directing and managing the district's human resources activities to ensure legally sound and effective personnel management practices.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Three years successful teaching experience
- Three years of successful administrative experience
Education/Certification:
- Master's degree
- Administrator certificate
- Instructional Leadership Training (ILT) or Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL)
- District approved teacher appraisal system
- Working knowledge in the selection, training, and supervision of personnel
- Effective communication skills for dealing with applicants, staff, and public
- Ability to exercise judgment in decision making
- Knowledge of wage and salary, benefits, and employee communications programs
- Knowledge of school employment law and hearing procedures
- Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing
- Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data
- Ability to manage budget and personnel
- Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in supervising and evaluating the performance of Human Resources office staffMental Demands/Physical Demands/Environment Factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Occasional district and statewide travel; occasional prolonged and irregular hours.
