About Us:

Ameritex Machine and Fabrication is a high mix, quick turn, ISO 9001:2015 certified metal fabrication facility located in Conroe, Texas. We serve customers across the energy, power generation, oil & gas, EV, and aerospace sectors. Operating out of a state-of-the-art 100,000 sqft facility, we leverage advanced technology and automation to deliver top-tier solutions in structural and sheet metal fabrication.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a hands-on and experienced IT & Systems Manager to oversee and support our critical business systems, network infrastructure, and cybersecurity posture. This role will be responsible for all aspects of IT operations including server and network administration, user support, systems integration, data security, and long-term technology planning.

Systems & Network Management:

• Administer Microsoft Active Directory, on-prem SQL servers, and Azure
• Oversee Microsoft 365:
  Exchange, Teams, Share Point
• Manage Unifi network switches, UDMs, and access points
• Execute system updates, patches, PC rebuilds, and backups

Business Software & Integrations:

• Support and maintain Fulcrum ERP, Acumatica, Solid Works + PDM, M-Files, Docu Ware
• Troubleshoot and manage custom integrations across platforms
• Coordinate with software vendors and internal teams

Security & Compliance:

• Monitor and enforce security protocols and endpoint protection
• Conduct periodic scans, audits, and manage user access
• Support IT-related ISO 9001:2015 compliance

User Support & Helpdesk:

• Respond to and resolve IT work orders across shifts
• Provide training and documentation for users
• Ensure smooth operation of all systems across departments

Strategic Planning & Admin:

• Propose improvements and manage IT projects
• Report performance metrics and risks to leadership
• 5–10 years of progressive IT experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft environments (AD, Azure, Office 365)
• Experience with network management (Unifi preferred)
• Familiarity with ERP and engineering software platforms
• Security-focused mindset and ability to work independently
• Exceptional troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
• Cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP)
• Experience managing IT budgets and vendor contracts
• Project management experience for IT infrastructure upgrades

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time, on-site role. Must be available for periodic after-hours support and weekend work as needed.
