Job Description PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for performing beginner-level maintenance, repairs, and installations on campus buildings, equipment, and systems. This position supports the daily operations of the college by ensuring a safe, functional, andwell-maintained environment for students, faculty, and staff.

This role works collaboratively across LSC campuses on special projects, recommend process improvement, and implement best practices in standard operating procedures (SOPs) across functional

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Conduct routine inspections of buildings, including classrooms,offices, and common areas

Respond to maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner

Assist in general carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs

Maintain and repair doors and windows

Collaborate with other maintenance staff and departments to complete projects and repairs

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment performance

Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles necessary for assigned tasks

Ensure compliance with safety and Property Services expectations

Provide emergency on-call support as required

Responsible for other reasonable related duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Basic knowledge of carpentry and general building systems
Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues
