Overview

Kid Strong General Managers lead the center, fostering a culture of learning and development for coaches, families, and team members. The General Manager defines goals and delivers an exceptional experience for kids, families, and employees. Key responsibilities include coaching team development, building relationships with members, and achieving business results such as sales performance and reduced member attrition.

Responsibilities Center Operations
  • Understand and use center KPIs and financials to make responsible business decisions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with families, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Respond promptly to corporate/owner requests and client/lead requests.
  • Oversee center initiatives such as maintenance, training, and brand consistency.
  • Manage daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance of the center.
  • Delegate center tasks among staff to ensure consistent execution.
  • Handle center‑level employee issues and maintain documentation.
  • Schedule coach shifts and communicate schedules using appropriate platforms.
  • Promote and sell Kid Strong events (camps and parties) to maximize profitability.
Sales
  • Conduct outbound phone sales (50+ calls/day) to new and existing leads in the CRM tool.
  • Exceed sales and operational budgets.
  • Delegate sales responsibilities to staff (call drives, trial conversion, event booking).
  • Finalize online self‑sign‑up bookings.
  • Drive conversion through thorough trial conversion in the center.
  • Source and attend local events to increase brand awareness and generate incremental leads and memberships.
Leadership
  • Communicate professionally and results‑driven; community builder.
  • Foster a coaching culture—see something, say something.
  • Assess and document coaches based on Kid Strong Coach DNA profile and class quality.
  • Achieve required certifications from Kid Strong HQ.
  • Recruit, manage, train, and evaluate coaching candidates.
  • Ensure compliance with company policy and law for all paperwork.
  • Lead center‑level staff meetings focused on development, productivity, programming, and product.
  • Communicate with co‑workers via Slack and email; check messages when not in centers.
  • Attend weekly leadership meetings with AD.
Coaching
  • Work physically with kids of varying abilities, ensuring proper technique and safety.
  • Passionate performer, mentor, teacher, with command presence.
  • Deliver age‑appropriate curriculum focusing on brain, physical, and character development.
  • Create positive interactions with students and families throughout class.
  • Understand the Kid Strong curriculum and communicate it clearly and concisely.
  • Document attendance, awards, and other data using the KS Coaches App.
  • Manage coaching hours (approximately 3‑5 hours per week).
  • Lead monthly center staff meetings focused on culture, development, product, and performance.
Qualifications
  • Passion for working with children is non‑negotiable.
  • Experience coaching kids ages 15 months – 11 years old.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to achieve Coach Certification through HQ Training and Certification team.
  • Complete training through Lighthouse as required by the HQ team.
  • Comfortable speaking to parents/guardians on various topics.
  • Previous management/leadership experience required.
  • 2+ years of sales experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Google and Microsoft platforms.
  • Experience with systems such as Zen Planner, Lighthouse, Career Plug, ADP, and Fran Connect is preferred but not required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of physiology, exercise techniques, and body mechanics.
  • CPR certified.
Sphere of Interaction

This position supervises the AGM, Lead Coach, and coaches. The General Manager works closely with center team members, families, center AD, and Kid Strong HQ team members as directed by the AD.

Compensation

$55,500.00 per year
