Stabil Drill is currently seeking a Full-Time Shop Technician to join our team in Conroe, TX.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Operate Shot Peen Machine.
  • Operate Phosphate Machine.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness, pressure washing, maintenance and proper disposal of debris on property. Including general shop, breakroom, & cleanup.
  • Assist in loading and unloading equipment while operating a forklift.
  • Assist in special projects.
  • Shop organization and supply storage. Including daily and weekly inventory.
  • Receiving and distribution of supplies.
  • Assist with the movement of tools.
  • Assist in daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • May operate a shop truck for local errands and deliveries.
  • Follow established safety policies and procedures.
  • On a rotation basis, will be required to be on call when scheduled.
  • Ensure full awareness of, and compliance with, the requirements of all relevant company/customer QHSE handbooks, QHSE procedures and emergency procedures.
  • Perform any other delegated duties considered appropriate to maintain the efficient running of the department.
Education/Experience/Abilities:
  • High school diploma or equivalent general education degree (GED) preferred.
  • Current knowledge of equipment, materials, and practices used in the oil/gas industry.
  • Complete tasks and follow oral and written instructions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Good communication and troubleshooting skills.
  • Accurately complete/maintain necessary reports/records in a timely and legible manner, in accordance with applicable procedures and/or work order.
