Job SummaryThe Frontend operator is responsible for operating production equipment and supporting the manufacturing processes to produce a safe, quality can in an efficient and timely manner. This role requires adherence to already established procedures, quality standards, and safety standards while meeting production targets and contributing to continuous improvement efforts in a high‑speed manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Make sure that the body makers are running based on specifications
- Perform Quality checks; understand and interpret the results
- Ensure all paperwork is filled out and turned in daily
- Keeps work area safe, clean, and organized
- Maintain PM documentation, weekly and daily checks.
- Recognize defects of the cups and cans and make corrections
- Follow standard operating procedures and meet all quality standards.
- Keep the printer area clean, organized, and free from safety hazards.
- Communicate with PM&R, shift supervisors for any unusual defects or electrical issues.
- Communicating with incoming shift operator for shift handover.
- Troubleshooting of equipment
- Read and understand the machine technical documents and drawings
- Knowledge on the correct use of tools for the body makers
- Knowledge of the measurements and specifications of the can
- Make sure that the safety devices of the equipment are in place and working at all times
- Knowledge of all the energy sources of Front End Equipment such as electrical, pneumatical, hydraulic
- Follow all the safety procedures such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Hazard Recognition, Hazard Communication, Machine Guarding
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Ability to stand and perform repetitive tasks for long periods.
- Strong mechanical skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and safety conscious.
- Strong work ethic.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Positive relationships between colleagues and management.
May involve exposure to noise, moderate temperatures, and handling of materials. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) required. Ability to lift 50lbs or more. Able to perform in a high‑pressure fast paced environment.
