Fabrication Welder

Position Overview

We are currently hiring a Fabrication Technician / Welder to support manufacturing operations in a fast-paced industrial environment. This position is responsible for metal fabrication, MIG welding, material preparation, and operating shop equipment to build products according to specifications and quality standards.

• Review blueprints, drawings, and production instructions to complete fabrication work.
• Perform MIG welding on steel and stainless materials.
• Cut, fit, form, and assemble metal components to meet dimensional requirements.
• Prepare and shape sheet metal using fabrication tools and machinery.
• Inspect measurements and verify quality using gauges, rulers, and measuring devices.
• Operate shop equipment including brake press, shear, plasma cutter, welding machines, grinders, drill press, band saw, and other fabrication equipment.
• Assist with layout, material preparation, and assembly activities.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding completed work and inspection readiness.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Support additional shop duties as needed.

• Previous welding and fabrication experience in a manufacturing, fabrication, or industrial environment.
• Familiarity with fabrication tools, measuring devices, and shop equipment.
• Ability to read blueprints, prints, and tape measurements.
• Experience operating forklifts is helpful.
• Understanding of quality procedures and shop safety practices.
• Ability to work independently and maintain productivity in a fast-paced setting.
• Good communication and dependability are important for success in this role.

• Must be able to stand, bend, walk, and move throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.

• Welding certifications are a plus.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent is beneficial.

• Hands‑on weld assessment required before placement.
