Temp​/Perm Maintenance Technician 1st – Conroe, TX

We have an opportunity for a Temp/Perm Maintenance Technician to join our Conroe, TX team. You will install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, pipes, and electrical systems at site.

• Visually inspect and test machinery and equipment, troubleshoot, and repair.
• Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts.
• Discuss machine operation variations with operators, supervisors, or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems or repair machines.
• Troubleshoot and install electrical equipment, including 4‑20ma, 24vac, 90vdc, single and 3‑phase up to 480v, VFD, PLC, servo drive, encoder, proximity switch, and laser sensors.
• Maintain TPM program for factory equipment.
• Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
• Install and repair electrical apparatus (transformers, wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery).
• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
• Lay out, assemble, install, and maintain pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment; repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
• Perform emergency repairs to limit excessive downtime and production delays.
• Set up and operate machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
• Operate cutting torch and welding equipment to cut and fabricate items.
• Coordinate material requisitions needed for each project.
• Follow all 5S practices and support lean activities, as well as safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Work to reduce equipment downtime.
• Troubleshoot electrical controls, PLC, servo controls, temperature controls, and encoders.
• Repair and maintain the physical structure of the establishment.
• Facilitate the training of maintenance technicians.

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of maintenance experience.
• Ability to stand and work 10 hours a day.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to set up and operate basic manual metal fabrication machines.
• Ability to utilize calibrated precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools.
• Ability to read and write to comply with written instructions and complete departmental paperwork.
• Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

• Monday through Thursday 5am – 3:30pm.
• Overtime on Friday; must be open to working overtime on Friday.

Position is temporary with potential to transition to permanent status after 90 days.

Hourly pay range: $27.00 – $30.00/hr opportunity for a rate increase after proficiency in certain skills and fulfillment of training. Actual pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, and experience.
