Manual Machinist; Day Shift

Position: Manual Machinist (Day Shift)
Key Responsibilities

* Set up and operate manual engine lathes (both large and small), milling machines, grinders, and drill presses.

* Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.

* Machine parts from raw material to finished dimensions with no supervision.

* Confidently and effectively cut outside diameter (O.D.) and inside diameter (I.D.) threads by single point.

* Cut and finish ring grooves, including BX, R, and Face grooves.

* Experience repairing damaged parts, including chasing threads to restore specification.

* Inspect and verify finished parts using precision measurement instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.

* Maintain a clean and safe work environment, performing routine machine maintenance and minor adjustments as needed.

* Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and team members to troubleshoot machining challenges and deliver quality results.

Required Qualifications

* Minimum of 10 years' experience running large and small engine lathes.

* Oilfield machining experience highly desired.

* Proven ability to machine complex parts independently, from raw stock to final dimensions.

* Strong knowledge of machining principles, cutting tools, materials, and shop math.

* Skilled in repairing and reworking damaged components to meet exact specifications.

* High school diploma or equivalent; trade school or technical training is preferred.

* Ability to pass a background check, physical and drug test.

Physical & Work Requirements

* Ability to lift, push and pull up to 50 lbs.

* Ability to stand for 8-10 hours per day.

* Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

* Ability to work safely in a fast-paced industrial environment.
