Plant Operator

Description

The Plant Operator I is responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and systems. This entry-level position performs routine operational duties, monitors equipment performance, conducts inspections, and supports maintenance activities to ensure continuous production and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

• Operate and monitor plant equipment, machinery, and process systems according to established procedures.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment and report abnormalities or operational issues.
• Record operational data, production metrics, and maintenance activities accurately.
• Assist with startup, shutdown, and changeover procedures.
• Conduct housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and operating procedures.
• Support preventive maintenance activities and coordinate with maintenance personnel as needed.
• Respond to alarms and process upsets under the direction of senior operators or supervisors.
• Collect samples and perform basic testing as required.
• Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors regarding plant operations.

We are seeking a motivated and safety-focused Plant Operator I to join our operations team. In this role, you will assist with operating and monitoring plant equipment, conducting inspections, recording operational data, and supporting maintenance activities. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Prior industrial or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
