Job Description

Job Duties- Write programs and modify existing ones for increased efficiency.
- Utilize drawings or CAD models to support program development.
- Utilize CAM software to produce programs.
- Make calculations for programming.
- Create, document and back‑up all programs. Update set‑up sheets and tool lists as required.
- Check completed programs by running simulations or tests.
- Prepare geometric layout of designs using proper software.
- Determine sequence of operations in a program.
- Confer with appropriate engineering personnel in preparing and finalizing programs.
- Choose cutting tools that will be needed.
- Analyze job order and perform necessary calculations.
- Simplify tooling time for workers and increase productivity.
- Monitor all programs to ensure they follow blueprint instructions and are completed safely and successfully.
- Assure quality and production requirements are met, as per travelers and blueprints, etc.
- Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
- Participate in LEAN manufacturing and SPC activities as required.
- Report any equipment or facility defect(s) to supervisor.
- Ensure any accident or injury is promptly reported.
- Maintain NOV guidelines on safety, quality, and delivery.
- Clean work areas as necessary to maintain cleanliness, health, and safety standards.
- All other reasonable tasks assigned with the goal of helping the team, operations, or the facility overall.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 3 years of demonstrable experience in a similar position with like responsibilities and expected outcomes.
