CNC Programmer - 2nd Shift

Job Description

• Write programs and modify existing ones for increased efficiency.
• Utilize drawings or CAD models to support program development.
• Utilize CAM software to produce programs.
• Make calculations for programming.
• Create, document and back‑up all programs. Update set‑up sheets and tool lists as required.
• Check completed programs by running simulations or tests.
• Prepare geometric layout of designs using proper software.
• Determine sequence of operations in a program.
• Confer with appropriate engineering personnel in preparing and finalizing programs.
• Choose cutting tools that will be needed.
• Analyze job order and perform necessary calculations.
• Simplify tooling time for workers and increase productivity.
• Monitor all programs to ensure they follow blueprint instructions and are completed safely and successfully.
• Assure quality and production requirements are met, as per travelers and blueprints, etc.
• Participate in total quality management projects to achieve continuous improvement.
• Participate in LEAN manufacturing and SPC activities as required.
• Report any equipment or facility defect(s) to supervisor.
• Ensure any accident or injury is promptly reported.
• Maintain NOV guidelines on safety, quality, and delivery.
• Clean work areas as necessary to maintain cleanliness, health, and safety standards.
• All other reasonable tasks assigned with the goal of helping the team, operations, or the facility overall.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of demonstrable experience in a similar position with like responsibilities and expected outcomes.
