Plant Operator

Brief Description

The Plant Operator I is responsible for assisting in the safe and efficient operation of plant equipment and systems. This entry‑level position performs routine operational duties, monitors equipment performance, conducts inspections, and supports maintenance activities to ensure continuous production and compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

• Operate and monitor plant equipment, machinery, and process systems according to established procedures.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment and report abnormalities or operational issues.
• Record operational data, production metrics, and maintenance activities accurately.
• Assist with startup, shutdown, and changeover procedures.
• Conduct housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies, environmental regulations, and operating procedures.
• Support preventive maintenance activities and coordinate with maintenance personnel as needed.
• Respond to alarms and process upsets under the direction of senior operators or supervisors.
• Collect samples and perform basic testing as required.
• Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain effective communication with team members and supervisors regarding plant operations.

We are seeking a motivated and safety‑focused Plant Operator I to join our operations team. In this role, you will assist with operating and monitoring plant equipment, conducting inspections, recording operational data, and supporting maintenance activities. The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Prior industrial or manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
