Thompson Pipe Group is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator.

Heavy Equipment Operator

Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

• Operates various mobile equipment, including motor graders, track mobiles, and haul units
• Performs daily pre-shift inspections on equipment
• Performs preventative maintenance on service mobile equipment and reports needed repairs to Yard Supervisor
• Follows safety rules, regulations, and procedures
• Provides relief in other plant operations such as rail unloading, maintenance, quality control, and scale house
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and energy toward teammates
• Assists with equipment and plant repairs, maintenance and housekeeping as needed
• Other duties as requested by management

• Current Driver’s License
• High School Diploma or GED equivalency preferred
• 2 - 4 years heavy equipment operating experience preferred
• Ability to perform basic math
• Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration; work environment can be loud
• Work outdoors in varied weather conditions (heat, cold, wet, humid, dry and/or dusty)
• Exposure to cement and other raw materials

• Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with arms, climb stairs, talk or hear; may lift or move products and supplies up to 75 pounds
• Read, write and verbally communicate in English (bilingual a plus)
• Wear hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection
• Must be able to sit and operate equipment for long periods up to 10+ hours per day

• Full-time;
  Monday through Friday, 6 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. OT may be required as needed; schedule may change to meet business needs; occasional weekend work
