Manufacturing Technician

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM

Hours: Approximately 40 hours/week

The 5S Specialist will provide hands-on support implementing and sustaining 5S workplace organization standards throughout the manufacturing facility. This position will work across fabrication, assembly, paint, electrical integration, warehouse, and other plant areas to improve organization, visual management, cleanliness, and workplace efficiency.

• Support implementation of 5S:
  Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain.
• Identify and remove unnecessary materials, tools, equipment, and items from work areas.
• Establish designated locations for tools, materials, equipment, and consumables.
• Install and maintain floor markings, labels, signs, shadow boards, storage locations, and area identification.
• Help develop and maintain 5S standards for individual work areas.
• Support hands-on organization and cleanup activities during 5S implementation.
• Work with various departments to maintain established 5S standards.
• Identify opportunities to improve workplace organization, efficiency, and visual management.

• Previous 5S experience is required
  .
• Manufacturing, industrial, warehouse, or production-floor experience preferred.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement principles preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable working hands-on in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work independently and interact effectively with employees across multiple departments.

Someone who is hands-on, organized, proactive, and familiar with 5S. The candidate should be comfortable walking the manufacturing floor, identifying opportunities for improvement, physically organizing work areas, and helping teams establish standards that can be maintained long-term.
