Polyurethane Casting Technician – $20–$22/hour A local manufacturing company is seeking a Polyurethane Casting Technician to join their team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity with an immediate start date to allow for hands-on training with the current employee in the position. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, perform basic mathematics, have a general working knowledge of hand tools and measurement devices, and demonstrate strong attention to detail.

This position is responsible for preparing and hand casting polyurethane products while following established recipes, production plans, quality standards, and safety procedures. Interested candidates, please send updated resumes to:

Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Pay: $20.00–$22.00/hour, with opportunity for advancement Responsibilities:
Perform hand casting of polyurethane products according to established production plans, specifications, and procedures. Accurately assemble and disassemble products into designated mold assemblies. Produce polyurethane according to established recipes by accurately weighing, heating, mixing, and mechanically pouring materials. Operate polyurethane (PU) casting equipment, HMI controls, metering systems, tanks, pumps, mixers, and related equipment. Prepare, heat, load, monitor, and dispense polyurethane raw materials safely and accurately.

Monitor and record critical process parameters, including temperatures, ratios, flow rates, batch information, and other production data. Perform controlled pouring and casting operations while maintaining strict adherence to recipes and production specifications. Calibrate, clean, purge, inspect, and maintain mixing and casting equipment. Ensure raw materials are correctly filled, measured, and prepared for production. Identify and promptly report process deviations, equipment alarms, quality concerns, or production issues to the appropriate supervisor.

Notify the supervisor when planned production quantities cannot be achieved. Maintain accurate batch records and traceability documentation. Coordinate with Bonding, Finishing, Quality, and Maintenance teams as needed to support production. Assist with process validation, equipment startups, scrap reduction initiatives, and operator training. Perform weekly cleaning of metal flask heads, valves, and other casting equipment and apparatus. Maintain an orderly, clean, and safe work environment.

Required Skills:

Previous manufacturing, production, machine operation, casting, or similar industrial experience preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to perform basic mathematics accurately. General working knowledge of hand tools and measurement devices. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to follow written recipes, work instructions, production plans, and specifications. Ability to accurately weigh, measure, mix, and document materials.

Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn specialized polyurethane casting equipment. Ability to recognize and report equipment or process abnormalities. Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain accurate production records. Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
