Position: Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) - Conroe, Tx

Overview

Texas Oncology is seeking a Oncology Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team at the Conroe, Texas location. The role is Monday‑Friday with no weekends or holidays and no on‑call duties. The position may be level I, II, or Senior, based on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices.
  • Assess health status by interviewing patients, reviewing medical history, and addressing patient/family needs.
  • Provide teaching and psychosocial support to patients and families.
  • Facilitate clinical operations and patient care, including managing medication refill requests, scheduling consultations, coordinating tests, and triaging phone calls.
  • Act as a point of contact for LPNs/LVNs and medical assistants, and coordinate services related to patient care.
Qualifications Education/Training
  • Graduate from an accredited professional nursing program (BSN preferred).
  • Current RN state license and registration with the state board.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and maintenance of continuing education requirements.
Experience Levels
  • Level I: 0‑3 years of nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred.
  • Level II: Minimum 3 years of nursing experience, oncology experience strongly preferred.
  • Level Senior: Minimum 5 years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology; oncology certification preferred.
Working Conditions

Exposure to communicable diseases, toxic substances, ionizing radiation, and other conditions common to an oncology clinic environment; living and lifting requirements up to 40 lbs.
