Registered Nurse - CVOR

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized cardiovascular surgical nursing care within a busy hospital setting. The RN CVOR will support surgical teams during cardiovascular procedures, ensuring patient safety and optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preoperative assessments and prepare patients for cardiovascular surgeries.
• Assist during surgical procedures by managing equipment and supporting the surgical team.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to intraoperative changes.
• Document all procedures, patient responses, and interventions accurately in the EMR.
• Follow unit policies, safety protocols, and infection control guidelines.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care.

Qualifications:

• Active RN license with at least 1 year of cardiovascular OR experience.
• Must have documented CVOR surgical experience.
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular procedures and equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Certifications not specified but must comply with state and facility requirements.
