You will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care management, including direct patient care and education.

This role demands vigilance in monitoring patient conditions, administering treatments, and advocating for patient needs to optimize health outcomes. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute significantly to enhancing patient safety, comfort, and overall well-being within our healthcare environment.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the United States.
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Proven experience in medical/surgical nursing or a related clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of nursing care principles, patient safety, and infection control.

Preferred Qualifications:

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care including assessment, monitoring, and documentation of patient health status.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
  • Perform wound care management and monitor healing progress.
  • Utilize telemetry equipment to monitor cardiac patients and respond promptly to changes.
  • Advocate for patient rights and needs within the healthcare team and during care planning.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support pediatric nursing care by addressing the unique needs of children and their families.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and quality improvement initiatives.

Skills:

The required skills such as direct patient care and nursing care are fundamental to daily responsibilities, enabling the nurse to provide hands‑on treatment and monitor patient progress effectively. Patient education skills are essential for communicating complex medical information clearly to patients and their families, ensuring understanding and compliance with care plans. Wound care expertise allows the nurse to manage and promote healing of various types of wounds, which is critical in preventing infections and complications.

Telemetry skills are used to continuously monitor cardiac patients, allowing for timely interventions when abnormalities are detected. Patient advocacy and collaboration with nurse practitioners and other healthcare professionals ensure that patient needs and preferences are respected and integrated into comprehensive care strategies.
