Job Summary and Responsibilities

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high‑quality care that truly impacts patients’ well‑being and recovery. Key Job Responsibilities
  • Assessment:
    Perform admission and ongoing assessment of patients’ condition, provide nursing care to meet physical, psychological, and spiritual needs, and notify doctors of changes requiring attention.
  • Planning:
    Design, direct, evaluate, and document care plans, patient/family teaching, and transitions of care to ensure safe discharge. Work with other disciplines for specialized needs and daily goals that consider individual patient needs.
  • Implementation:
    Prepare patients physically, psychologically, and spiritually for treatments, surgeries, and diagnostic studies, reducing anxiety. Monitor conditions, report significant changes, and implement safety initiatives and protocols including medication safety, orders, and consult notifications.
  • Evaluation:
    Reassess patients at appropriate intervals, notify physicians to modify interventions, and adjust nursing care to meet emerging needs.

    Skills:

    Give and receive bedside shift reports, including family participation, providing accurate and comprehensive information to ensure continuity of care.
Job Requirements
  • Associate of Nursing degree
  • At least 1 year of RN experience upon hire or demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations
  • Registered Nurse licensure in TX upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR within 14 days of hire
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of hire

St. Luke's Health‑Lakeside Hospital in The Woodlands is a 30‑bed facility dedicated to enhancing health and well‑being. Our facility is a collaboration between St. Luke’s Health and a team of specialized physicians focused on general and interventional cardiology, sports medicine, and orthopedics, including total joint replacement and spine care. As the only hospital in Montgomery County to offer sports medicine as a major service line, Lakeside Hospital provides inpatient and outpatient care as well as diagnostic imaging, including MRI, CT, and nuclear medicine.

Pay Range

$35.45 - $55.36 /hour
