• Degree from an accredited nursing program
• BLS, ACLS, PALS & TNCC may be required in some positions
• At least eighteen months of recent experience in an acute care emergency room setting
• Other requirements as determined by the client facility

Emergency room registered nurses (RN) provide care for patients with various medical conditions or trauma requiring emergency attention and must be able to recognize and effectively treat life‑threatening conditions.

• Assess, intervene, and stabilize a variety of trauma and illnesses with decisive action.
• Maintain knowledge of general and specific health issues that may require urgent treatment.
• Understand triage to prioritize injuries based on medical need.
• Make quick and accurate assessments of incoming patients, including both physical and mental health conditions.
