DescriptionAmerican Traveler is hiring a Labor & Delivery RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring transition, postpartum, and newborn experience along with AWHONN fetal monitoring certification.
Details- Labor and Delivery unit with 8 labor beds, 2 triage beds, 2 ORs, and 1 recovery room bed
- Unit staffed with CNC, RNs, Transition RN, Unit Secretary, and CST across day and night shifts
- Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 2:1
- Uses GE Monitors, Panda Warmers, Novi, and Neptune equipment
- EMR systems include CPN and Meditech
- 13-week assignment on night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
- Every other weekend required
- Floating to Mother/Baby unit required
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- AWHONN fetal monitoring certification required (intermediate or advanced), or NCCEFM accepted
- Minimum 1 year of recent Labor and Delivery experience required
- Transition, postpartum, and newborn experience required
- No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
- US SSN and DOB required for consideration
- Provide care for laboring patients, vaginal deliveries, and C-sections
- Provide care for newly delivered mothers and their newborns
- Charge experience preferred but not required
- Best fit for team players who are motivated, independent, and flexible
- Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility; no local candidates accepted
