What You Will Do
The Scheduling and Staffing Administrator ensures excellent customer service and a well-maintained store environment by delivering quality scheduling, staffing, and administrative support in coordination with store leadership, Human Resources, and Lowe’s associates.
- Greet internal and external customers with friendliness and professionalism.
- Monitor driver and associate scheduling to guarantee timely merchandise delivery and efficient inventory stocking.
- Encourage and model safe work practices among all associates.
- Support store leadership through administrative duties related to staffing, scheduling, talent acquisition, training, compliance, and payroll.
- Maintain associate paperwork, organize break and training rooms, and update time-and-attendance records in accordance with Lowe’s policies.
- Assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in reviewing, scheduling, and processing prospective candidates through the talent acquisition process.
- Handle administrative tasks related to Workers’ Compensation, General Liability, and Auto Claims to uphold a strong safety culture.
- Collaborate closely with the Store Manager, Assistant Store Managers, and Human Resources to enable leadership focus on strategic and people‑leadership activities.
This role does not require regular travel; however, occasional trips may be necessary for meetings, trainings, or to support neighboring stores.
Schedule andPhysical Requirements
- Hourly Full‑Time or Part‑Time: typically scheduled 39–40 hours (Full‑Time) or up to 25 hours (Part‑Time) per week, with additional hours possible based on store needs.
- Must be available morning, afternoon, and evening on any day of the week.
- Requests for time off on a specific day require advance notification and supervisor approval.
- Must be able to lift at least 10 pounds without assistance; may lift over 10 pounds with or without assistance.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1 year of experience in a retail environment.
- 2 years of administrative experience in data processing, scheduling, monitoring, tracking, and office software use.
- 1 year of experience handling confidential staff information (e.g., personnel files and compliance data).
- 1 year of experience in a cross‑functional team environment with both exempt and non‑exempt staff.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in a retail environment or equivalently relevant work.
- 2 years of experience in a cross‑functional team environment with exempt and non‑exempt staff.
- 1 year of experience supporting the staffing process (e.g., posting requisitions, screening candidates, scheduling interviews).
