Freight Flow Associate

Overview

Position Summary... What you' re going to do includes complying with company policies and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans using the Open Door Policy, executing business processes and practices, operating forklift safely, and completing work assignments by prioritizing tasks with managers, coworkers, customers, and other business partners. The role involves receiving stocks, organizing merchandise, supervising inventory flow, providing member service, maintaining safety and merchandising standards, supporting club pickup orders, and utilizing technology to assist customers.

• Operate forklifts in accordance with company standards and guidelines; pick up, move, place, and position merchandise and pallets safely.
• Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners; identify priorities and deadlines; communicate progress; address improvement opportunities; adapt to change and feedback.
• Receive stocks and organize merchandise from distribution centers and suppliers; manage inventory flow; document and retain required logs and paperwork; correct shelf capacities and exceptions; maintain proper paperwork.
• Provide member service by acknowledging members, identifying needs, guiding self-service technology, assisting with purchases, locating merchandise, resolving issues, and promoting products and services.
• Maintain facility safety by conducting safety sweeps, following forklift procedures, handling hazardous materials according to guidelines, and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Maintain sales floor and merchandising presentation; zone, stock, rotate, remove damaged goods, set up displays, maintain modular integrity, and ensure promotional and seasonal merchandise is visible.
• Handle club pickup orders, ensure timely picking and staging, and perform occasional audits for accuracy.
• Utilize inventory tools and equipment safely to track goods, maintain in-stock levels, and control shrinkage; report poor practices and low stock levels.
• Proactively identify customers who need help, engage them with technology services, model and assist others with technology services.
• Identify shrink opportunities and problems; take corrective actions and maintain organized stock.
• Respect the individual by fostering a culture of belonging, teamwork, and positive communication; promote integrity, ethics, and compliance; support Walmart’s goals and continuous improvement.
• Deliver customer-focused results, balance short- and long-term priorities, and consider how individual work impacts team performance.

The hourly wage range for this position is $19.00 to $27.00. The actual rate will meet or exceed applicable minimum wage. Additional compensation bonuses may apply in specific circumstances.

• Minimum Qualifications — 90 days of prior experience with forklift operation; ability to safely utilize pallet jacks; must be 18 years of age or older.
• Preferred Qualifications — Customer service experience, retail experience, supervising a team.
